Responsibilities of the Internal Control Unit
- Monitoring compliance with the laws, regulations, bylaws and instructions that govern work procedures in all units and departments.
- Analyzing obstacles to performance and making recommendations for improvement.
- Following up on resolving problems and correcting errors found during internal control reviews and those reported by the State Audit Bureau.
- Submitting periodic reports to the Municipal Council on the Municipality's financial and administrative performance, including the recommendations needed to correct issues and improve work.
