Dura Mayor Mr. Muhannad Amr and Municipal Council Member Eng. Bassem Dudin met with Eng. Ayman Ismail, Chairman of the Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and develop the electricity and renewable energy sector in the city of Dura.

The meeting discussed including Dura Municipality in the “Palestine Solar” program and expanding the installation of solar energy systems at vital municipal facilities. This would help reduce electricity bills and operating costs while increasing reliance on renewable energy sources.

The Mayor emphasized the importance of cooperation with the Energy Authority to develop electricity infrastructure, improve service quality, and ensure its sustainability. Eng. Ismail, meanwhile, affirmed the Authority’s readiness to continue cooperation and support renewable energy projects in the city.
