On the social and cultural level, the municipality aims to integrate the city’s
residents and visitors through its cultural and entertainment activities in the
city’s various squares and the old town of the city, and also through its
center, the Dura Martyrs Cultural Center, which since its founding in 1996 has
embraced many literary, cultural, and artistic activities from a number of
different Dura institutions. These various extracurricular events and
activities, such as creative, artistic, scientific, cultural, and recreational
exhibitions, training courses, lectures, seminars, and workshops, are
considered religious, scientific, and national events.
