Dura Municipality Signs Agreement to Subdivide and Develop Hebron University Housing
In a new step toward strengthening urban planning and supporting residential development in the city, Dura Municipality signed an agreement concerning the subdivision and development of Hebron University Housing in Dura. The agreement aims to better organize and prepare the area, enhance the residential environment, and improve the services provided to citizens.
The agreement was signed by Dura Mayor Eng. Muhannad Saeed Amr and Mr. Fakhri Al-Jaabari, Chairman of the Hebron University Housing Association, in the presence of Mr. Ezz Al-Din Al-Atawneh, Director General of Local Government, and Dr. Musa Ajwa, Advisor to Hebron University for Community Affairs.
The Mayor emphasized that the agreement represents a practical step toward organizing and developing housing in the city of Dura. He noted that it reflects the municipality’s commitment to addressing planning and regulatory matters in cooperation with relevant stakeholders, ensuring the optimal use of land, supporting sound urban planning, and serving the interests of citizens.
He also noted that the municipality places particular importance on urban planning and development, and seeks to turn partnerships with governmental, academic, and community institutions into practical measures that contribute to building a more organized and sustainable city.
The agreement comes as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between Dura Municipality and the Hebron University Housing Association. It paves the way for completing the procedures related to land subdivision and development, while enhancing opportunities to provide an organized residential environment that meets the needs of the city and keeps pace with its urban expansion.
