Dura Municipality, in cooperation with the local community, is carrying out road widening and improvement works on the road connecting the city of Dura with the city of Idhna, as part of its efforts to develop the road network, improve traffic safety, and facilitate residents’ movement.

The road is considered a vital route connecting Dura with Idhna and the western areas of the city. Its importance has increased amid the closures and restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation on a number of roads and city entrances, making it a vital artery for residents’ movement.

The widening works aim to alleviate the difficulties faced by residents and reduce the risks associated with the road, which features challenging terrain, steep slopes, sharp turns, and narrow sections. The improvements will contribute to enhancing road safety and facilitating vehicle movement.

Dura Municipality emphasizes that developing roads and improving infrastructure remain a priority, given their direct impact on serving residents, strengthening connectivity between different areas, and providing safer and more accessible routes for transportation.
