
Dura Municipality and Southern Businessmen Forum: A Community Partnership Supporting the “First National Dura Wedding”
As part of its preparations to implement the “First National Dura Wedding” initiative, Dura Municipality Mayor Eng. Muhannad Amro and members of the Municipal Council met with a delegation from the Southern Businessmen Forum, in the presence of the committee overseeing the initiative, to discuss ways of cooperation and strengthen the private sector’s contribution to the success of the initiative.
Dura Municipality Mayor Eng. Muhannad Amro welcomed the delegation and expressed his appreciation for the generous contributions made by the Southern Businessmen Forum in support of the “First National Dura Wedding.” He emphasized that this contribution reflects the private sector’s sense of social responsibility and the commitment of local business leaders to supporting members of the community, strengthening partnerships to serve young people and support them during this important stage of their lives.
Iyad Al-Namoura, President of the Southern Businessmen Forum, affirmed the Forum’s support for the initiative, praising its community objectives and its role in supporting young people and easing the financial burdens of marriage, particularly under the current difficult circumstances. He also stressed the importance of joining the efforts of institutions, the private sector, and community members to ensure the success of initiatives that promote solidarity, cooperation, and social responsibility.
The meeting also addressed a number of arrangements related to the contribution of business leaders and the private sector to the initiative, in a way that strengthens its objectives and supports efforts to organize the “First National Dura Wedding” in a manner that reflects its community and national mission.
Dura Municipality emphasized that community solidarity is fundamental to the success of this initiative, and that bringing together the efforts of institutions, business leaders, and community members can turn the values of cooperation and responsibility into tangible impact, while supporting young people, creating moments of joy, and strengthening social cohesion.
