Dura Municipality and PEF Discuss Cooperation

Dura Municipality Mayor A. Muhannad Amr and Municipal Council Members Eng. Bassem Doudin and Dr. Hakam Hajeh met with the Executive Director of the Palestinian Employment Fund (PEF), A. Mohammad Sharaka, to discuss cooperation in employment, economic empowerment, support for small businesses, and vocational training.

The meeting explored ways to benefit from the Fund’s programs to create job opportunities for residents, support entrepreneurial projects, and implement joint projects in Dura. These initiatives would combine employment opportunities with the provision of the necessary materials to carry out rehabilitation works through the municipality.

The Mayor emphasized the importance of directing employment programs toward projects that generate sustainable economic and development impacts.

For his part, the Executive Director of the Palestinian Employment Fund highlighted the importance of partnering with Dura Municipality, describing it as a municipality with a clear vision for economic empowerment and serving the local community. He noted the Fund’s readiness to coordinate with the municipality and develop joint projects and programs that respond to the needs of the city’s residents.
