Dura Municipality Marks School Walkways
With the start of the new school year, teams from Dura Municipality’s Public Works and Maintenance Department are carrying out marking and organizing pedestrian crossings and sidewalks around a number of schools across the city, with the aim of enhancing traffic safety and organizing the movement of students and pedestrians.
These works are part of the Municipality’s efforts to protect the safety of students and residents and provide a safer environment around schools, particularly during school arrival and dismissal times.
The Municipality urges drivers to exercise caution, reduce their speed, comply with traffic regulations, and give priority to students and pedestrians.
The Municipality also calls on schools and parents to educate children about the importance of using designated pedestrian crossings and crossing the street only at designated locations, in order to ensure their safety.
The safety of our children is a shared responsibility.
